U-verse TV Audio, Language, and Closed Captioning | AT&T U-verse Support
Watch this video to learn how to change your audio language, on-screen language, and closed captioning. To change your audio language, just follow these simple steps.
Press the wide, oval-shaped MENU button in the top center of your U-verse remote. Next, reach down to the circle of navigation arrow keys below the MENU button. The navigation keys consist of a circle of directional arrow keys surrounding an OK key. Use the down arrow key to scroll down to "Options", and press "OK". Then, scroll down again to "Audio/Language", and press the center OK button to select.
Select "Audio Language", and scroll down to choose your preferred audio language from the three descending options: English, Spanish, or Original Language. Then, scroll over to the left and up once, and press "OK" to save. Press "OK" again to exit.
Changing your on-screen language can be done just as easily. Again, start by pressing the MENU button, and scroll down to "Options". Then press "OK". Then, press the down arrow to scroll down to "Audio/Language", and press the OK button to select. Next, scroll right and select "On-screen Language". Then, use the four directional arrows to select your preferred language option.
For Spanish, press the right arrow once, press "OK" to select, then press the left arrow, and press "OK" to save your selection. Or, for English, scroll right once and down once, and press "OK" to select English. Then press the up arrow once, the left arrow once, and click "OK" to save your selection.
In order to change your closed captioning, simply press the MENU button. Then scroll down to "Options", and press "OK", and select "System". Closed captioning is the first option on the next menu, so you just need to press "OK" to select it. You can also access the Closed Captioning menu by pressing the CC button on your remote control, or press the red C button to directly enable or disable closed captioning.
